A brewery out of Colorado which puts beer exclusively into cans. Hells yeah! They don’t just put beer into cans, they put really good beer into cans. The Gordon is a thick, juicy, multiple award winning double red ale. If you haven’t had this beer already, shame on you. Pours an orange amber and wreaks of bitter and floral hops, plant food and honey. Somehow this beer escapes the class of double IPA but it has all the qualities of a great one. Tons of grapefruit, watermelon, caramel, and weed, followed by a “hot, sticky sweet” finish that would make Def Leopard proud. 8.7% abv. Drink this beer often.
Couldn’t find a worthwhile image to post with this beer. A razzberry wheat which I brought a growler of to my very first baby shower. My suspicions of this beer were spot on. It’s a great beer for people who don’t like to drink heavy, hoppy, bitter, complex, or in any way strong beer. Super fruity and light, a great beer to compliment a a pancake breakfast or a fruity dessert. This brewery makes some absolutely incredible fruit and sour beers. This simply is not one of those. Maybe they lowered the bar a little for this one.
The ’08 vintage of barley wine which gets a 99 rating on ratebeer.com. I purchased a quart of this beer from a local beer bar called Uber. Pours a deep amber with a hint of red. Not much carbonation which is to be expected especially because this beer came out of a keg. Caramel and vanilla on the nose with a fair amount of alcohol. Tastes of dried apricot, apples, some bourbon, and maybe some figs. A very dry finish which is making me drink this beer a little too fast for an 11.5% abv. To sum this one up in one word or less, deeeeeelish.

Shockingly, this is my first beer from this brewery that has been making some serious noise in the craft beer world. Yellow blond to white in color. On the nose, some of the prettiest flowers I”ve tasted in a beer, layered with coriander, citrus peel and lavender. On the palate, loaded with floral, beautifully balanced, with a very elegant finish. Could be my new favorite!
This came highly recommended by “puertorebrew” and I’ve got loads of respect for his beer palate. This import from Hawaii was amber in color. On the nose, first impression, balanced, good intensity, malted grain, flowers, grapefruit, caramel, nicely layered. On the palate, medium intensity, medium alcohol, caramel apple, framed by flowery hops, more sweet than bitter, with a good finish. Expensive six pack, but packed with flavor.
